Westbury Market Place – Project History
Following a programme of public consultation during the summer of 2007, final designs were completed by the Urban Designers, Mouchel Parkman taking into account all the views and ideas expressed through the consultation process.
This detailed concept was presented to and approved by Westbury Town Council in early December 2007.

The adopted design concept was subject to some further modifications in the early part of 2008 and final detailed plans were confirmed by the summer with work commencing in September 2008.
Key action dates:
Phase 1: COMPLETED
Started 15th September 2008 - Western side outside White Lion, One Stop, Crown Inn, Charlies Bar & Madcap Music. Plus along Maristow Street and onto Fore Street.
Phase 2: COMPLETED
Started November 2008 - Eastern Side outside Olympia, Old Town Hall, Wessex Books & Lopes Arms plus Alfred Street and onto Fore Street.
The new Market Place was formally opened on Friday March 20th 2009.
