
The town has 16 unpaid members - nine representing Ham Ward and seven the Laverton Ward. They form two committees:
Council meetings are held in the Laverton Hall on the first and third Month at 7 pm.
The council always strive to improve the appearance of the town with better hanging baskets, additional flowerbeds and borders. It is also responsible for the Christmas lights, which give so much pleasure to everyone.
The council is fully involved via the Five Towns Initiative partnership with the West Wilts District Council to improve and enhance the viability of Westbury, focusing solely this year on the Market Place redesign. The council will continue to contribute towards the cost of limited free parking - working in partnership with West Wilts District Council, which owns all the car parks in Westbury.
